Member activity: Fall 2015 to present
Being a part of the group has given the opportunity to travel internationally, to conduct research in College Station Texas, and also abroad at the branch campus, in Doha, Qatar, and also to attend conferences in Boston, MA, Barcelona, Spain, and Doha, Qatar as well. These experiences have been important, as the international exposure and experience as a young researcher helps build connections and increase collaborative efforts. I have also had the opportunity to brainstorm and discuss research problems and ideas with senior members of the research group in College Station, and also mentor newer graduate students at the branch campus in Qatar. As an individual looking to pursue academia as a career these experiences have been invaluable.
